What's In A Name?

OK, enough is enough. Stop splitting hairs about what exactly L.A.M.P. means.

There are too many great tools available to the opensource developer to be exclusive. Exclusion hurts OpenSource.

Let's agree that L.A.M.P. already conveys much more than it's spelling and go along with the inevitable mutation of meaning any significant idea naturally undergoes as it matures.

Let's be inclusive. Any opensource tool that works can be part of L.A.M.P. In fact, let's call our wonderful, enlightening and powerful server platform LAMPstack from now on.

A practice of inclusion has brought OpenSource so far so fast. Why waste resources on useless discussions that do nothing to advance the cause?

Excellent Work

Mr. toasterz....hats off, this site is looking good....and I agree, if its open its fine. You might find it interesting that Avaya (yes those telephone dinosaurs) has gone to an almost exclusive Linux platform on its new ip server releases....ah, how the world changes....still outrageous in price, but open none-the-less....and it should make it even easier for Asterisk to interface.
